tips from hbg

The option of building, whether it be your own home or a Multi Residential development, can add a sense of satisfaction and a sense of freedom. However, as with any major decision, for best results make sure you do plenty of planning and research. Here is some things from HBG for you to consider before you begin and some matters that we can provide expert advice in:-

1 - Perhaps the most important step before you start is to contact your local council to ensure that your development is suitable (eg. Land zoning, building restrictions, council planned developments in that area etc).

2 - It is a good idea to find out first how much you can, or are prepared to outlay. Knowing this before you commence can take a lot of the financial stress out of building.

3 - Make the best use of the site. This site conditions will affect the possible design of your project and the type of construction required, thus affecting the cost. Things to consider before buying land are connection of services, boundaries, type of soil etc

4 - Design and position of your dwelling. Consider the suns orientation and bear in mind the effect of your building to neighbouring properties.

5 - The exterior of the home. Efficient and practical landscaping which compliment the home.

Through positive working relationships with our staff, subcontractors and suppliers we are able to ensure that all our projects are completed to a high standard whilst still delivering projects on time and most importantly within budget. It's an essential and driving principle of the company to provide eco-friendly quality dwellings which positively impacts our clients.
